We fix things in its entirety: from broken legs or failing glue to broken veneer and missing marquetry. Whether it is from water or fire damage, breaks from moving damage, furniture repair is our favorite part of our work.
Conserving treasured wooden objects sometimes requires refinishing. Time can be brutal on neglected furniture. Furniture finishes and varnish no longer offer protection when they crack and disintegrate. Sun damage alone can completely change a favorite heirloom. Guided by the ethics of the American Institute for Conservation, we do our best to maintain the integrity of each piece and provide individual treatments using current methods and approved materials.
